Computers are not my friend

So, I am late posting my responses and unable to take my test because of technical difficulties. I should have known that if my phone lines were having static then there is a good chance that it might mess with my internet. I foolishly thought that since it isn’t dial-up, I was ok. Well, I’ll share my blame in waiting to the kids went to sleep before i turned on the the computer for the day. that’s ok, it was a lesson learned. And on a good note.. today was my mom’s last day of chemo. yea!

So far in this class, I have learned a whole lot more than just writing. I’ve learned not to just consider colors or images that I like, but also the interests of my audience. Also, my plan was to quickly learn FrontPage (mistake 1) and then making a site would be glorified cut and paste (mistake 2).  I now know how wrong I was and I think it has helped me when I think that other people aren’t grasping things fast enough. This class has served me a couple dishes of humble pie, but my goal is to use what I’ve learned and grow more with it. Also, i now have more respect for those webmaster people that are named at the bottom of webpages.

My audience is those who are interested in elements of my write for the web class and those who want information about me and my future project site. The goal of the site is to display my new webpage skills, to analyze why I picked certain elements and to display project site. I think, maybe, I need to make my header picture smaller and fill-in other parts of my site .I need to put more information on why I did certain aspects of my site.

I need to work on the pictures more. I don’t know how to line it up to the right. Also, the site looks a little dead; I wanted calm, but it isn’t. it doesn’t appear active. The links – I am having a large problem with, at first, they were not showing. I fixed that, but now the pages they link to are now missing.

In some ways i think the reading helps by explaining what the different parts of a website are. I am a newbie and definitions help, but when it comes to doing it on my own; I am very lost .I know that learning the software is going to slow me down a bit and possibly have bad results. Usually when I learn something new< i like to observe ir from various ways to find the best way for me.
